Buns Seeking Families

This page is dedicated to older and retired companion rabbits who are seeking quiet, loving homes. These rabbits are no longer part of our breeding program and are shared here in the hope of finding families who value maturity, steadiness, and the deep companionship older rabbits offer.

Sullivan — Neutered Black Tort Buck

“Sweet, bashful boy looking for a friend to cuddle and love.”

Sullivan is a gentle, thoughtful little buck with a soft expression and a quietly observant nature. He carries himself with a steady calmness and tends to take in his surroundings before deciding how he feels about them.

He is not a bold or demanding rabbit — rather, he prefers a peaceful environment where he can settle in at his own pace. Sullivan appreciates consistency, gentle handling, and a home that values quiet companionship over high energy. Once he feels secure, he relaxes easily and becomes a comforting, steady presence.

He would do beautifully in a calm household where patience and softness are part of daily life. Sullivan is the kind of rabbit who doesn’t clamor for attention but quietly builds trust and companionship over time — a tender soul for someone who values steadiness and sincerity.

Beanie - Baby Chinchilla Doe

“Shy little doe seeks a safe place to grow and play”

Beanie is a shy and gentle young doe with a soft, watchful nature and a sweet, reserved disposition. S he has been a devoted mama’s girl, often staying close to familiar comfort while she learns about the world around her.

She tends to observe first and participate second, but when she feels safe, her personality begins to unfold. There is a quiet warmth to her, along with a subtle spark of independence that shows in small, endearing ways. Her thick, plush coat only adds to her softness.

Beanie would thrive in a patient, understanding home that allows her confidence to grow naturally. She is a darling little rabbit who blossoms with time, offering quiet companionship and a touch of understated sassy charm.

Gumption — Neutered Lilac Buck

“Quiet, steady gentleman seeks a peaceful home and a gentle-hearted human.”

Gumption is a big, calm, comforting presence — a substantial fellow with a soft heart and a very steady temperament. At around 6 lbs, he’s larger than the average Holland Lop, and his size only adds to his quiet, reassuring energy.

He is a low-energy, slow-and-steady kind of bun who enjoys simple routines, peaceful environments, and soft company. Gumption doesn’t rush, doesn’t demand, and doesn’t stir up drama. He settles easily, watches the world with gentle curiosity, and appreciates affection offered calmly and on his terms.

He would make a wonderful companion for someone who values a soothing, predictable rabbit with an easygoing personality. Gumption brings calm to any room he’s in — a gentle, steady soul looking for a family who appreciates peace over excitement.

Henrietta — Spayed Chocolate Doe (3 Years Old)

“Elegant, alert, and delightfully goofy — seeks a patient human to win her heart.”

Henrietta is a striking blend of quiet elegance and endearing goofiness. With her signature airplane ears and bright, alert eyes, she brings both beauty and personality to any room. At the Homestead, she proudly serves as our Director of Security, always keenly aware of every sound, movement, and visitor. Nothing escapes her notice.

Despite her sharp senses and intelligent presence, Henrietta is a reserved soul at heart. She is not a “love at first sight” rabbit — she prefers to watch, assess, and determine for herself whether someone is worthy of her trust. Earning her affection takes gentle wooing, patience, and consistency… but oh, is it worth it.

Once she decides you are safe, she softens beautifully. Henrietta becomes calm, comfortable, and quietly affectionate in a way that feels incredibly special — the kind of bond that feels earned rather than automatic.

She would thrive in a peaceful home with predictable routines and a human who enjoys slow, thoughtful relationships. If you appreciate subtle, intelligent rabbits and love the idea of winning over a discerning little heart, Henrietta may be your perfect match.
